Workshop Query

Workshops happen infrequently. To minimize the work required to display and list the workshops, an “On/Off Switch” post has been introduced.

The status of the post is either ‘Draft’ or ‘Published’ .

In Draft, it is ‘ignored’ by the ‘Query loops’ searching for workshop posts.

When ‘Published’ it will be detected and the content is displayed by the query loop.

The url is “https://tangoonthebay.com/workshop-whats-on/“.

The slug is “workshop-whats-on”.

The post content is a bordered group, containing a heading and a list of next 6 event dates from the ‘Events calendar’ – category=”workshops”.

The primary function of the post is to add workshops to the ‘What’s On‘ page.

If the status is NOT “Published”, the group content will not be displayed. This makes the ‘What’s On’ page cleaner and easier to read.

It is recommended to always set the status to ‘draft’ if there are no active workshop posts.
