Meg Thomson
Meg was already deeply immersed in tango, both as a social dancer and events organiser. Since creating Tango on The Bay she has also taken up leading and supporting new students in class — a choice that has given her a broader skill set, and a much better understanding of both the Follower and Leader roles.
Alongside classes, she has supported private lessons and specialty workshops, always learning to spot the small technical shifts that make a big difference.
Her approach is grounded in continuous development — for students and herself. She is especially drawn to biodynamics and how understanding the body’s natural movement can refine technique at any level.
Meg’s particular focus is beginners, either solo or as a couple, who want dedicated time outside of class to work on their own goals and build confidence from the ground up.
